Ancero ranks #25 for Tech Employers with the most employees in the Philadelphia region. The 2018 List of Tech Employers includes 27,065 local employees and local 11,600 technology employees among the listed systems integrators; computer consultants; web developers; software developers and other IT service providers in the Philadelphia region.
This ranking is a result of Ancero’s recent steady growth and success. After their acquisition of another Managed Services firm in 2016, Ancero grew into a second office location in Atlantic City, NJ that opened in September of 2017. Since the PBJ list was published, Ancero has since expanded the team with the hiring of 4 talented Engineering resources and an additional Business Development Manager.
Philadelphia Business Journal Book of Lists provides readers with listings of hundreds of the area’s top leaders in their markets, by ranking and stands as a valuable resource for the region’s business executives.
Ancero was also asked to contribute to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s technology survey. PBJ asked the local executives or chief technology officers of the firms that participated on its 2018 Technology Employers List to answer a few poll questions about technology trends, emerging technologies, and their tech favorites.
Questions asked included: Which services or technologies are phasing out of demand? What new or emerging technologies can we expect to see more of in 2018? And, At any given time, which technology are you most likely to be using? Laptops and mobile devices lead the pack for this particular question indicating a clear shift in office technology use reflected in a more mobile/remote work style.

What’s your favorite app and why? Our Utility VoIP ClickConnex app. I am rarely in the office but I don’t want to miss any calls. My app extends my office number and all the features and benefits of our phone system to my mobile device. It’s like having my desk phone on my iPhone. I can make and take calls while protecting the privacy of my cell number. And I can even conduct conference calls with it!
What’s your favorite tech brand and why? This is a tough one because I can’t pick one. Two to be exact. Datto and SonicWall, because their security solutions go hand in hand in providing a layered approach to security for our SMB clients. You can’t have one and not the other or we would be derelict in providing our clients the best possible data security solutions.
