I have recently had the experience of working with the sales team at Ancero for a mission-critical server installation at a data center. Our team needed to migrate our servers from a 100% hosted solution to a 100% company-owned solution. This was no small task and no small investment for our healthcare technology company whose business workflow automation and data management software requires impeccable reliability and security within a reasonable budget. We partnered with Ancero and Philadelphia Technology Park to house our data center for our entire company. Hurricane Sandy plummeted through the Northeast part of the country leaving destruction and devastation. Philadelphia, PA is only a short distance away from where Hurricane Sandy hit land in Atlantic City, NJ. When weather reports became more apparent that this super storm was fast approaching the entire Northeast, we expected inherent issues with power and communication and engaged our Business Continuity Plan for our Pennsylvania location. Ancero monitors our equipment at PTP which provided assurance that we would not experience service interruptions from our data center in PTP. Between Ancero and PTP, we did not encounter a single outage or glitch from our alerting tools. While Hurricane Sandy tore through the Northeast part of the country with a near direct hit to our data center, it is comforting to know our business in the three other locations across the country sustained and felt no impact from the storm.
Our small business purchased a new highfalutin’ machine. It copies, prints, scans and faxes in any size, color or shape you can imagine. It could do it all with one critical exception; it would not communicate with the General Manager’s computer. After 2 hours and 20 minutes the vendor stated “Something is wrong with your computer.” He could not resolve the issue. I called Ancero. The support professional picked up after 2 rings.
